You should.....go ahead.....make the investment in yourself.......raise the bar.

The legal job market in the US is very, very BAD. People I graduated with who passed the bar nearly 2 years ago are literally working at bars and restaurants. These are licensed attorneys from good schools and they simply can't find work as an attorney. They are not alone. When a position does come available they will get 100+ resumes for one opening and pay half of what they used to. Typical entry level jobs are starting attorneys around $40,000 - $50,000. So if it is money you seek, look at some other professions.

Attorneys are beginning to find it tougher to find jobs. Student loans have made it much easier for more people to go to law school, so there's more competition out there. Additionally, there is now computer software that can do what some attorneys do, so you're losing out there as well. If you want to be an attorney, work hard, go to a good school, but you may not be guaranteed to make a ton of money right away.

Well, it depends where you are. In the United States, lawyers can make A LOT of money, but they can also be struggling just to pay their bills. It gets complicated. There's an over saturation of them in some places, so competition for clients is high.
