well it is because every company wants to make as much money as it can. that means serving to the hispanic culture also, so in order for them to efficiently serve the hispanics needs, they need people who can understand their language. and as for companies hiring a select amount of people who are bilingual those people may have the day off or have an emergency come up and cannot work. i personally think that if mexicans want to come over here they should learn english, instead of us learning spanish, but that's not how it is.

It is cheaper for the employer to hire one person who can communicate with all or most of the clients/customers.

This mainly applies in certain parts of the USA with many Spanish speakers (California, Texas, Florida, etc.)

This is gives a big advantage to those who can speak both English and Spanish.

If want to get this advantage, you can teach yourself to speak Spanish in about six months if you work on it at least 2 hours every day. Because so many Spanish words are identical or nearly identical to English words that mean the same or near the same thing, Spanish is the easier second language for English speakers to learn.

Good luck.

I have not heard approximately that. There are many roles, adding prime ability jobs and coffee ability jobs which are hiring Americans. In trade, if their purchasers talk an extra language, then they'll rent body of workers that may converse. I understand Americans who're studying Spanish and they do not whinge, most commonly those who whinge probably the most are those who're prejudiced. But due to the fact that no one can difference the best way trade run, folks have exclusive choices on the right way to manage their lifestyles crisis. They can begin their possess trade, or study an extra language, or get proficient or maintain whining and spreading hate. The final choice is the only performed by way of racists and lazy folks who wish to be create hate and is the person who respectable folks forget about.

You're not correct that almost every job requires you to be bilingual. If you're somewhere like FL, AZ, TX or southern CA, a large percentage of jobs might require or prefer than you are, due to the large number of Spanish speaking people in those areas, especially for jobs where you'll deal with the general public.

I agree.. I think it should be the other way around, if your coming INTO America, you should learn the language, not the other way around..
