I was just given a pre employment drug test today for the Walmart company. I recently have been taking lorazepam and took some yesterday and was tested today. So my question is this: Do pre employment tests check for benzos, and how long does lorazapam stay in one's system, anyway? I need real answers here. Thank you.

Call and ask a pharmacist.

A pharmacist would not know. Ask the people that do the drug tests what drugs they test for. Lorazepam stays in your system for one to six weeks. There is no way you can take it one day and pass a drug test the next day. Do you have a prescription for it? If so, did you tell them when you did the drug test? If not, call them back and tell them you have a prescription for it. If you don't have a prescription, you are probably going to fail and not get the job. I'm sorry, but these drug tests serve to eliminate people that take drugs illegally, and if you don't have a prescription, then that is what you did.
