Can I go to a lawyer for a friend because she is in a emotional/verbal relationship?

she is afraid to leave the house, she can't go anywhere without him or he yells and cusses her out. She is confined to the bedroom and is allowed to come out to the living room to play with her son, and to the kitchen to eat, and when she goes to school she has to call him on all her breaks and talk to him the entire time to and back from school, if not then he accuses her of cheating on him.

If she isn't up his *** (excuse my french) he bitches at her and makes her feel like ****, calls her a bad mother and wife (even though they have been divorced for 2yrs) she keeps going back to him cause he is being very difficult with their custody mediation papers and not allowing childcare or a babysitter so she can work and go back to school to better herself for her son.

She has no place else to go to bounce too, she has tried 3 times and keeps coming back cause of what he does and says ... I have offered my place, but he hates me and has it so i cant be allowed with the baby, i cant be alone or a caregiver/babysitter for him.

Any help will be helpful, she needs to get out of this sick relationship, and i would like to help.

When one is in a mentally abusive relationship, LEAVE! If she is in a physically harm relationship, call the police. She is not being bounded or confined. She just don't want to leave.

Go to her house when he's not home, and take her and her child to a women's shelter. They'll be able to take it from there.



GET HER OUT OF THAT HOUSE.

He can't "not allow" child care. He can't tell her what she can do with the child. Period.



If he is abusing her, CALL THE POLICE.

What do you think the lawyer can do?? Nothing that happened is illegal.
