I was wondering if there are any rules about how much im allowed to make, if i have to file it on my taxes, and are there any zoning rules that i should know about before i start a pet-sitting service in mississippi. This is just to make extra cash and would like to know any and all rules involved. Can i just make a website and start, or is there more involved?

You really need to check with the city code enforcement department where you live. Many cities have laws about how many animals you may have in your yard and how close they may be housed to neighboring property. Legally, you should probably get a business license and yes, you are supposed to pay income tax on any income. A very smart idea would be to invest in insurance for your business because somebody could potentially sue you big time if their pet happened to die or get sick under your watch, even if it's not your fault.

You're right - there's more to it. In addition to zoning laws, there's liability insurance, and no doubt you'll need a business license. Go to the local court house, and ask questions.
