The police are not giving the family much information, and the boyfriend is possibly being tight lipped as well. The family is tired of waiting for answers from people who should know something, and it has already been almost a week since the incident. What kind of lawyer deals with a suspected suicide case?

And what do you expect the lawyer to do? You cannot hire an attorney to investigate the incident and bring criminal charges. That is what the police and DA's office are for. A private attorney would only sue the boyfriend for damages -- you got any proof of anything?

In any case, a week is not very much time for an investigation. The CSI TV shows are not realistic. It takes a long time for evidence to be gathered and tests run. You don't have a whole crew of cops and investigators working every case.

None. What exactly do you expect a lawyer to do at this point? Wait a reasonable time for answers in this situation. Follow up with the investigation if one is ongoing. If cause of death is determined to be suicide there is no legal remedy to pursue.
